Yayoi Kusama: Give Me Love

This past week I went to visit the Give Me Love exhibit located in the heart of Chelsea. It was different than any gallery I have ever been to because unlike places where you couldn't touch the art pieces we were able to put stickers on an empty room that was once blank. Since I went a few weeks after the exhibit was opened to the public, many of the white was already covered with stickers! I personally really enjoyed how interactive this gallery was and it was definitely a worthwhile experience.

Channeling my inner artsy vibes by wearing a navy fedora from Forever 21. I love how versatile the piece is and how it can be easily paired with many items I already had in my closet. It was also a relatively chilly day so I paired a basic white v-neck from H&M with a pair of high waisted jeans from Pacsun. To tie it all together I wore my black moto jacket from Forever 21. It is a staple piece in my closet and I recommend everyone to have that go to jacket they can pair with anything!

Hope everyone had a great week!

May Recap

I spent the month of May finishing up classes and finals and now I am finally back in the city! I have been back for over 2 weeks now and I have crossed out quite a few places that I have wanted to try. As soon as I got back I tried Potatopia and Popbar located in the West Village. As a lover for fries Potatopia was just as tasty as I expected it to be. I spent the day wandering around West Village and somehow made my way to Chinatown!
I was also able to go to MoMA, my all time favorite museum! The last time I went was some time during my winter break so a lot has changed since I have last been there. The one thing that will never change will be my favorite corner out of the entire museum. The view is great and I love looking down at the garden outside of MoMA.
The next day, my best friend and I went to a restaurant that we have wanted to try for the longest time. Freemans is a very cute restaurant located in the Lower East Side. It's definitely a "hidden gem" as everyone likes to call it. It's hidden in a little alleyway, but you'll be surprised how pleasant the exterior looks.
I spent this past weekend at the American Museum of Natural History. Unfortunately the infamous whale exhibit was closed by the time we got there so I wasn't able to see it :( Nonetheless I still enjoyed my time at the museum! I was also able to capture the dark sky before it started to pour. After the museum we went to grab a bite at Shake Shack! Their burgers and fries never tasted so good after such a long day.
That's all for now! Until next time!
